Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal statement, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations echo through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.
The adventure centers on "bizarre tests and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Changes
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Extra Features
Players who accomplish the mission will receive an exclusive katana alongside numerous items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-based attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
- Exclusive weapons
